What Is Miss American Coed Pageants?

American Coed Pageants®, now in its twenty-fifth year, is a nationwide scholarship program for girls ages 3 to 22. Pageants are held on state and national levels with the national pageant being held annually in Orlando, Florida at the Hilton Walt Disney World Resort each November.

American Coed Pageants® is a national organization with its national headquarters in Pensacola, Florida. The state pageants are directed by experienced directors from all across the country. Each director is highly qualified; many have advanced degrees, and all play an active role in the business and educational community.

American Coed Pageants® is a Florida corporation that has been operating nationwide since 1983. It is not affiliated with any other pageant system nor does it endorse any other pageants. Pageants are held in six main age divisions: COED (19-22) TEEN (16-18), JR. TEEN (13-15), PRETEEN (10-12), SWEETHEART (7-9), and PRINCESS (3-6).

American Coed Pageants® was selected as our pageant name so it would not be confused with ordinary beauty pageants. A girl who is referred to as “Coed” brings to mind an All-American girl…one who is a good student, full of enthusiasm for her school and family, and who is preparing herself to become the very best person she can be. Our goal from the beginning was to be recognized not only as a unique program, but also one of the BEST programs available for girls in America. Our pageant is a family experience that will long be remembered!

Our 25th Anniversary Celebration
In 2008 The Miss American Coed Pageants celebrated its 25th anniversary of providing excellence in pageantry. There was a special celebration at each state pageant.

Since its inception in 1983, Miss American Coed Pageants has awarded more than twelve million dollars in cash awards, college scholarships, prizes and gifts to deserving young ladies nationwide.

Each year thousands of young ladies throughout the U.S. participate in our state programs. Their participation is made possible through the generosity of sponsors who believe in encouraging and supporting their youth. The families return year after year because ours is not just another pageant, but a great opportunity to learn, to grow, to meet new friends, to have great fun, and to prepare for the future.
