Lynzi Misuraca
Teen, ages 16-18 years
2011 Miss Illinois American Teen
Hello my name is Lynzi Misuraca and I was recently Crowned "American Coed Miss Illinois Teen 2011"....such a huge honor for me, words cannot describe... it means to me that I've been trusted again by American Coed Pageants with this amazing Queens Title. Previously, Miss Illinois Princess in 1999 and Miss Illinois Junior Teen in 2008 had been my honor and pleasure to represent such an Amazing Pageant System and the state that I call home, Illinois. I started with American Coed Pageants when I was only 3 1/2 and have this system to thank for many amazing things my life, many great friends, amazing memories as well as being my foundation in Pageantry for these past 15 years. I'm just a Tomboy who also loves Pageantry, I guess it's the Competitive Bone that I have been blessed with.
|
I've been playing Soccer for as long as I have been doing pageants & as a Freshman at Trinity High School for girls, I was the only Freshman to make the Varsity team and this year as a Senior, I was names Captain and received the "IHSA All Conference" Award as well as the IHSSCA "All Sectional Honorable Mention Award" for the State of Illinois Girls High School Soccer Players, which was probably the high-lite of my 15 years of playing soccer as well as being scouted to play for Benedictine University where I've received almost a Full Scholarship. I'll be majoring in Sports Communications in the Fall as well as Playing Soccer with the Eagles. I guess I chose this major because of my love of sports and because of my *Gift to Gab*!!!!
My Hobbies include, of course Shopping, Dinning-out, Traveling, Talking on the Computer and my all time favorite hobby is TEXTING!!! (Those who know me, wouldn't be surprised by that at all!)
Because of my involvement in Pageantry, it has opened many doors of opportunities for me with so many different organizations & events as well as many worthy causes, such as The MDA/SMA Association, The American Cancer Society, The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society and of course my own Non-for-profit organization called *Lynzi's Locker*. Seeing first hand the Soccer needs of inner-city children who play Soccer under poor and dangerous conditions, is why I started collecting and distributing new & gently used soccer equipment to those less fortunate 7 years ago & over the past 5 years, I have Volunteered over 1,500 hours and raised over $3,000 for worthy causes. I can only hope that I've made a small difference and at the same time inspired others to get involved.
I'm so excited to be once again representing American Coed and Illinois and look forward to a year full of many blessings, new opportunities, new friends and hopefully this year being my 3rd trip to American Coed Nationals will be my "3rd Time Charm".
All My Best,
Lynzi Misuraca
