Iowa Coed Pageants is dedicated to on-line safety. Every effort will be made to provide a safe and enjoyable web site for our visitors. We realize there is a general concern for safety and privacy on the Internet. Our privacy policies have been created to outline our firm commitment to children safety on the Internet. Please take the time to carefully read these policies. We will closely monitor Internet safety standards, and as new laws and regulations evolve our website and data collection processes will be updated accordingly. About the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
Iowa Coed Pageants will uphold and adhere to the guidelines established by the Federal Trade Commission in the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. This act, which became effective April 21, 2000, sets guidelines for children's web sites concerning the collection of personal information from children ages 13 and under. Information Collection and Use of Information
Iowa Coed Pageants will not sell, rent, or share information collected on our site to third parties. We collect information from our visitors for such activities as registering, contests, scrapbooks, and purchasing products. Parental consent is required before we collect or keep any information from children ages 13 and under.

Parental Notification and/or Consent
Iowa Coed Pageants requires the consent of a parent or guardian before any personal information is collected about children ages 13 and under. An email will be sent to the parent or guardian's address notifying them that personal information has been requested, or a parent can register there child immediately.

Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that a web site stores locally or transfers to a user's computer to record activities on the site. Cookies cannot read information stored in your computer. The use of cookies is very common among web sites on the Internet. Our website uses cookies to:

  • track a visitors activities on our site

Parental Guidance for all Applications
Parents of prospective contestants must read all application information and sign if the Official Application is to be considered. The contestant signed on the application must compete in her correct age group and reside or go to school in the state where she competes. She must give permission to American Coed Pageants, Inc to use her photographs, speeches, videos, etc., for publicity and future pageant material. In consideration for being accepted as a contestant in the state pageant, we the parents and/or guardians of the contestant, individually named on the application do hereby release, American Coed Pageants, Inc., its directors, staff, employees and servants from any and all claims and damages directly or indirectly resulting for named contestant participating in the Miss American Coed Pageants. It is agreed and understood that any scholarships or college allowances which are a part of the Miss American Coed program are provided by the named school, agency or college and the amount of such scholarships are determined by the school, agency or college. American Coed Pageants, Inc., shall have no liability in regard to such grants or scholarships either as to amounts or performance. Contestant must never have been married or have a child. The state winner will be asked to sign a contract for the year of her reign, which spells out awards and prizes won, as well as responsibilities of the winner. If the state winner does not sign the contract, she will forfeit her state title, all prizes and cash awards. It is understood that sponsor fees and all other fees are non-refundable without exception.

Prizes and Awards
The Iowa Coed Pageant is neither owned nor controlled by American Coed Pageants, Inc. but is an authorized licensee of American Coed Pageants, Inc. Delivery of all prizes and awards promised herein is the obligation of the Iowa Pageant, an independent business enterprise, and is not the obligation of American Coed Pageants, Inc.
